The Wolfenbüttel public library has been located in the Kulturbahnhof Wolfenbüttel since October 2006. It has a book and media stock of around 35,000 items in the children's and young people's books, non-fiction and fiction sections. The library also offers four internet workstations for use (please book in advance by telephone).
Other services offered by the public library include:
- Reading café with current daily newspapers and magazines
- Book flea market (Thursdays from 3 pm to 6 pm)
- Training room for school project weeks
- Introduction to using the Wolfenbüttel public library
In addition to lending, author readings, exhibitions and other public events are held on the premises of the public library in cooperation with the "Friends of the Public Library".
