Feel as free as a bird - Okerballooning offers the opportunity to do just that.
The balloons have seats for 2 or 4 or 8 people. People with reduced mobility, i.e. those who can no longer stand for long periods or are even dependent on a wheelchair, can also take a ride. Our main region is of course the Harz foreland. We start e.g. For example, from Wolfenbüttel or Schladen, or from anywhere in the region if there are enough guests. Other starting points are in Braunschweig and north of it.
Basically, hot air ballooning is possible all year round. From spring to fall, the sun warms the layers of air above the earth's surface. Warm air rises upwards, creating thermals. Thermals are vital for gliders, but they are not useful for balloonists, which means that from March to October you can take off in the morning at sunrise and land before the thermals begin.
